Three event types, three different meanings
FDA advisory meeting: experts discuss evidence and advise the agency. A committee recommendation is nonbinding. Follow the official notice for access instructions, agenda changes, and materials.
Company-reported review target: a sponsor reports a PDUFA goal date for FDA action. The date can change, and the outcome is not guaranteed. A date-only entry does not imply an announcement time.
Announced decision: an outcome has been entered after checking a supporting source. No decision entries have been added to this starter snapshot. A past target never automatically becomes an approval.
For patients and families
This calendar helps you find sources; it does not assess treatment suitability. A meeting or target date does not mean a medicine is approved. For an announced approval, check the specific indication, age group, FDA label, and availability with your care team.
For investors
A regulatory event is not a prediction of approval, commercial success, or stock-price movement. Tickers identify companies only. The calendar includes no price quotes, trading signals, or approval probabilities.
Coverage, freshness, and calendar reminders
This version combines a scheduled official-source collector with manually reviewed targets. It is not a complete FDA calendar. The initial automated window covers 90 days of published meeting notices and original NDA/BLA approval records; archived entries remain available. Supplements, generics, many CBER actions, and unannounced or ambiguous dates are not comprehensively covered. “Source retrieved” means an automatic download, not human review. “Source reviewed” means a person checked the notice on that date; it is not FDA confirmation of a company-reported target. Older announcements can be superseded. Always open the latest source before relying on a date.
A warning appears when a source review is more than 7 days old. Past targets without a recorded outcome say “Outcome needs checking.” Meeting dates that pass say “Meeting follow-up needs checking.” These labels do not establish what actually happened.
Downloaded .ics files are one-time snapshots. They do not subscribe you to updates and do not set an automatic alert. A calendar app may apply its own default reminder. If a date changes, update or remove the old entry. Meeting times are exported with UTC timestamps so your calendar can display local time; targets are all-day tentative entries.
